Welcome to Rogue Initiative Studios, Chris!

Today, we’re excited to welcome Chris Cherubini to the Rogue Initiative team as our newest lead in lighting and tech art. His incredible work was notably featured in the “Call of Duty” franchise.

As part of his welcome, we sat down with Chris to learn more about his passions for gaming.

What is your professional background?

Before Rogue, I was part of projects such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

What’s one of your proudest achievements when working in this industry?

Shipping a game that made over 1 billion dollars in the first quarter, and then shipping my own game.

When did your career in game development begin?

1997.

What excites you about joining Rogue Initiative Studios?

Working with old friends is the best part of it all.

What are some of your favorite games?

The Legend of Zelda, Need for Speed Rivals, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil.

What are some of the things that have inspired you as an artist over your career? Could you describe your artistry in three words?

Clouds, trees, particles, thermal dynamics, curves and beer for things that I have inspired me. To describe my artistry, I’d say mood, detail, and thinking outside of the box.

We can’t wait to see what incredible ideas Chris comes up with for our newest project now in development. In the meantime, you can check out his breathtaking work on LinkedIn.

We’re happy to have you on the team, Chris!
